Latest Teaching

You can listen or watch our latest sermon by visiting our podcast or finding us on YouTube, where you can also listen to any of our past teachings.

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for the first time can cause nervousness. We want to help make your first experience at Red Hills a great one!

After service, be sure to visit us at the Info Table to receive a gift from us!

What to Expect

Sunday gatherings are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as family. We’ll begin with a time of worship, read Scripture, then hear a message by one of our pastors or other speakers.

At Red Hills Church, we typically have a rhythm of going from three services to two services during the summer because most of our friends at George Fox University go home for their break. We will continue to hold a gathering at 8:00AM, however, this will now be a Contemplative Service. This service will be held in the Fireside Room, have a shorter length, be sensory-friendly, geared towards reflection, where we’ll be using the practice of Lectio Divina for the sermon time.

Lectio Divina is a practice that engages with the Scriptures through a series of readings, reflection prompts, and then group sharing. People who attend this service will be invited to share their insights with the group as we interact with the teacher. The passage we use will be the same one used for the sermon in the main gatherings. This service is not meant to be an add-on to your Sunday, but rather a way to engage with the week’s Scripture in a new and special way.

We will continue to offer children’s ministries classes for babies to pre-school (0-4 years) aged children during our 8:00AM Contemplative Service.

8:00AM Contemplative Service

We take your child’s experience just as seriously as we do our adult experiences and your children's safety is our top priority. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Red Hills Kids program the first time that you visit. You can pre-register at the link below to save some time, or we encourage you to arrive ten minutes early to get signed in for the kids’ experience. Don't worry, after the first visit, checking in is a cinch and only takes a minute!

For your kids

We practice generous belonging

We are endeavoring to foster a community that embraces people of every ethnicity, culture, ability, and experience with curiosity and humility.

  • If you are a wheelchair user or experience difficulty with mobility, we have a ramp to our auditorium available from our parking lot along Third Street. Our ADA restroom is available on our lower level accessible via the external, cement ramp along Third Street.

  • We currently include cool-down spaces in our children’s classrooms, where a child can access noise-canceling headphones, soothing music, fidgets, and pleasant scenery. Earplugs are available at our main entrances for those who prefer reduced sound waves. If you are needing a quieter space, our Meeting Room is available off of our main lobby with a live video feed of the gathering.

  • Spanish translation is available on all our signage and slides throughout the gathering. Sermons can be translated via the Google Translate app, with devices available to borrow at our Info Table in the lobby.

For those who are hard of hearing or in the Deaf community, all our in-person gatherings offer live closed-captioning. We also have assisted listening devices available, which can be used with headphones or Bluetooth to an enabled hearing device.
